Lake Forest Christms

Welcome

Welcome to Lake Forest Christmas.com, home of the Lorenz Family Christmas Lights Display and directions to the best Christmas displays in the Southern Orange County area.

Our display this coming Christmas will again have over 35,000 lights all controlled by computer. More than half blink in sync to music in sync with my neighbor's house where you can sit in your car and listen to the music over FM 89.7. Also the house trim lights change from multi color lights to white lights every 5 minutes. We will adding more lights this year and some additional Nativity scene figures to expand the display.

We are the only 2 houses that blink together in the all of Orange County!

This year, Bob Norris and I collected food for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. A big thank you for all who participated this year by dropping off food. We collected over 700 items this year! God bless you.

Here's my Neighbor's house that I blink with. He broadcasts the songs over FM 89.7 from his computer so people can listen to the show in their cars and he transmits the computer signal via wireless connection and my system picks it up. Notice the Rudolph the Reindeer on the archway. It sings to a few of the songs with the small Santa behind him dancing in the background. He makes and sells his yard and light displays at great prices.

See videos of his display on YouTube or go to his web site bobscreativedisplays.com

2010 Upcoming Christmas Display

Here's what's on the drawing board already for next year: First off, we'll see what's left at Walmart and Target when everything goes 70% off. Not much I imagine as neither had much to begin with.
There are a number of items that were not working this year so they'll be fixed for next year:

  • The 3 Nativity scenes will be light and unlight in to tell the story of Joseph & Mary on their way to Bethlehem, the Wisemen on their way, and then the Nativity itself, and finally the cross lighted.
  • All 3 Mega Trees will change to blue LED when the house and yard trim change to blue and white.
  • The House and Yard trim will change colors every 5 minutes from Multi color icicles and lights to white icicles and blue LEDs lights

A couple of new items:
  • A small Mega Tree that blink in sync with the 15' Mega Tree and 7' medium mega tree
  • New sign letting people know about this web site and that we blink with the house on the corner
  • Add mini lights to the chimney that will also change color
  • Oh, and can't forget leaping arches are always on the list if I can save up enough for 4 more contollers. There's some mini arches on Planet Christmas forums that would go perfect along the sidewalk between the snowflakes from one side of the yard to the other. It would be fun to have them just dance back and fourth every few minutes for the kids to wait and watch. I'll add a couple of colors to make it more interesting

  • Changed the net lights on each side of the yard to blue and white snowflake stripes that continue down from the roof stripes that blink to the music
  • And one more elephant for Amber's collection as that is the mascot for Cal State Fullerton

Wow. That's what you'll say when you see this house. This Nativity scene looks like it was painted on the roof with lights. This picture does not do it justice. Amazing. End of Blueberry Ln - Lake Forest
